It is with a heavy heart that I am leaving Fountain Square Academy. This decision was not reached easily and I have cried many tears, especially after I made my decision. It has nothing to do with you, the staff or anyone else associated with the school. As many of you know, I have quite an extensive and expensive drive each day and I have 5 children that I miss very much. It is for these reasons that I am leaving.
I hope that in some small way I have left Fountain Square Academy a little better by having been there because I know that I have been blessed immeasurably! The staff, the students and the school will always hold a very special place in my heart. I hope you will remember me as fondly as I will you.
I would like to leave you with a few closing thoughts and when these come to your mind, please remember me and smile:
1. Walk with purpose. Life moves quickly so don’t let it pass you by.
2. You CAN achieve your dreams with hard work and determination. Think of how much each of you have achieved already! One of you was featured in a magazine and won a fabulous scholarship, another is now a member of the world’s finest military, many have started and some have even finished post-secondary education. That is amazing! We have traveled to many places together and I hope these experiences are ones you will cherish forever. Graduation this year was truly the best graduation I have ever witnessed!
3. You matter and you have value. I am so very proud of each of you and no matter where life takes you, remember that your teachers at Fountain Square value you as a person. I know I certainly do.
May the future bring you peace, happiness and success.
